Will I smell like beef?
No. Properly rendered, high-quality tallow should not smell like beef. At Pure Radiance Tallow, our tallow is carefully purified through dry renders and blended with botanical infusions of medicinal herbs and resin, which creates a soft, clean, comforting scent. Never greasy or overpowering.
Many customers are surprised by how light and luxurious it feels on the skin.
Will this clog pores?
Our blends are formulated to be deeply nourishing while remaining low-comedogenic for most skin types. We avoid heavy pore-clogging oils like coconut oil and olive oil, and instead use skin-compatible ingredients such as jojoba, rosehip, sea buckthorn, and grass-fed tallow.
Because every person's skin is different, we always recommend patch testing first, especially for acne-prone or highly sensitive skin.
How do I use Tallow?
A little goes a long way.
Apply a small amount to clean, slightly damp skin and gently massage in. Tallow melts with your body heat and absorbs beautifully into the skin.
It can be used as a daily moisturizer, overnight skin treatment, on dry hands, elbows, heels, and cuticles, for irritated or sensitive skin, after sun exposure, and during cold Canadian winters for extra protection.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes. Many of our customers use Pure Radiance Tallow as their primary facial moisturizer.
Because tallow closely resembles the natural oils found in human skin, many people find it calming, balancing, and supportive for dry, mature, sensitive, or stressed skin.
Start with a very small amount, especially if you are new to oil-based skincare.
What makes your tallow different?
Pure Radiance Tallow is handcrafted in small batches using thoughtfully sourced ingredients and slow infusion methods.
Our tallow is sourced from Saskatchewan regenerative farms, botanical-infused blends using herbs like chamomile, calendula, oat straw, marshmallow root, and lavender, low-comedogenic formulations, no fillers, petroleum, or harsh synthetic ingredients, designed especially for sensitive, mature, dry, and reactive skin, and made from scratch with intentional, nutrient-rich ingredients.
Every jar is made with the philosophy of feeding the skin rather than coating it.
How long does it last?
Because only a very small amount is needed per application, one jar can last surprisingly long.
A 2 oz jar typically lasts 1 to 2 months with daily facial use. A 4 oz jar often lasts 2 to 4 months depending on frequency and areas applied.

Yes, when it is properly sourced and properly rendered.
We use high-quality suet from Saskatchewan regenerative farms and carefully render and purify it to create a clean, stable skincare ingredient rich in naturally occurring fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins.
